Jahir Raihan (August 19, 1935 –
January 30, 1972) was a Bangladeshi
author, writer
and filmmaker.
He is conceivably best known for his documentary Stop
Genocide completed during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
Early life and education
Zahir
Raihan was born on 19 August 1935, as Mohammad
Zahirullah, in the village Majupur, at this time in Feni
District, Bangladesh. behind the Partition of Bengal in 1947, he, the quantity

his movie A Desh Tomar Amar, for which he wrote the title song. In 1960

made Pakistan's first colour movie, Sangam, and finished his first CinemaScope
film, Bahana, the following year.
He

Disappearance
Raihan

Death
In December 1971, some indefinite miscreant
took away Zahir's elder brother shahidullah kaiser, an eminent writer from his dwelling
at the University of Dhaka. surrounded by days, on 30 December 1971, somebody
informed Zahir about an address, wherever at Mirpur, wherever he might find his
brother. Accordingly, Zahir left home to get his brother back. He never
returned and until these days, the day is observed as Zahir's evaporation Day.
